We were in Lake Yamanaka until yesterday and surprised to feel the cool air when we returned to Tokyo last night.  I thought the cool autumn weather is just around the corner, but I didn't expect it comes to Tokyo so early

The weather was beautiful In lake Yamanaka, and we were so happy to enjoy sunny autumn days.  I took some photos around lake Yamanaka and hope you will enjoy them!!

昨日まで山中湖に滞在しておりました。　好天に恵まれ、一足お先に、秋～と思い秋らしい写真とパチリ  夏の滞在中は2週間で2度くらいしか拝めなかった富士山もこの日はとっても綺麗でした

・・・と思いきや、昨夜東京に戻ると、なんと、涼しいではありませんか　　空気が入れ替わったのかな　猛暑日になると、いつ秋になるの？などと毎年のように言っていますが、今年は「暑さ寒さも彼岸まで・・・」でしたね。（もしかしたらまた暑くなったりして・・・）

この涼しさなら、すぐにこの辺りでも赤とんぼが見られることでしょう

It is still so warm and humid in Tokyo, but I worked very hard(?!) to change our window display.  I love to set the table decoration thinking about cooking and food!!

We could buy very nice Red lacquered trays and fine OLD blue & white bowls.  To show them more attractive, I chose the colorful Obi runner.  Please come see it

まだまだ暑い日が続いていますが、ほんの少し風の中に秋の空気を感じるようになりました。今日は気分を一新、ウィンドウのディスプレイをテーブルセッティングに

先日仕入れた朱塗の折敷に上手の古伊万里のなます皿をのせて、江戸期の蒔絵の重箱、赤絵の綺麗な大鉢など、賑やかに演出。　道行く人々も立ち止まって楽しんでくださっているようです

As our customer's request, we made a gift set wrapped by beautiful materials   I think it is very good idea to choose ONLY ONE item as a gift for precious friends, family, or your business partners.  We get so many requests to choose nice gifts throughout a year.

I really enjoyed choosing wrapping papers, ribbons, and boxes for the gifts.  Finally I chose the combination of the colors of white, gold and dark navy.  Of course, we would enclose the certificate of the items and our shop card in the box and hope the gifts will be a good memory of Japan

Finally, we could bring 'Nagamochi(trunk)' Sofa to the shop last week.  We selected the fabric of natural color to go with any colors of cushions, and orderd it to the specialist of the chairs and sofas whose clients are Cassina, Alfrex, Conran's Shop, or many  other famous interior companies.

It was difficult not just to imagine the result, but to tell our idea to the maker.  But fortunately, we are so satisfied with it. We would like to thank the people who helped us to make it. 

But there is one problem....I want to keep it for myself!!

何年も前からあたためていた企画が遂に完成！　

この企画を実行するために必要な状態の良い長持をなかなか見つけることが出来ず苦戦しました・・・。

しかし、当店のコンセプト「モダンとアンティークの融合」を具現化するのにピッタリ

長持の改造には若いけれども腕の良い家具職人が担当、そして座面部分の加工はカッシーナ、コンランショップ、アルフレックス等々の有名店ソファを手掛ける工房に依頼・・・。コストを惜しまず真面目に作り上げました。

もちろん出来栄え、座り心地は絶品

Today, we would like to advise you how to stay comfortable in your living room.  This is the example.  We put 2 pieces of very big, wide, and deep merchant chests.  They were originally stacked, but we put them side by side and use as a TV stand.  This living room is small, but the height of the chests is nice to make the space comfortable. Even in the small living room, we can use big cabinet and put everything in it!!

一日の中で居る時間の長いリビングルーム。この場所をいかに快適にするかが今回のテーマ。

快適生活の一歩としてご提案したいのがこの一例。

元々は重ねて使う帳場箪笥。　しかし、それでは壁のようになって圧迫感が・・・。地震の時も倒壊したら怖ろしい

横に並べてその上にTVを置くことでスッキリとした印象に。縦桟のシンプルなデザインもなかなか良い雰囲気

古いマンションにありがちな凸凹に張り出した梁を逆手にとってその間にピッタリ

スライドドアですからスペースが限られた場所でも使用可。　しかも大容量

乱雑になりがちなDVD、AV機器、本やカタログ等々　なんでも　扉を閉めればとにかくサッパリ。余計なモノが目に見えないようにすることがまず第一歩　チマチマっと小さな収納を数多く用意するより思い切って大きな収納を用意しましょう。

限られたスペースだからこそ有効活用を・・・・。

I love to find furniture of specific size for our customer's need. 　 Typical Japanese length unit is called 'Ken (≒180cm)' which is simillar to the length of Tatami mat, or 'Shaku' (≒30cm）.  That's why the width of Japanese old Tansu is about 90cm, 120cm 180cm. 

But I love to find unusual ones which were made by special order. I don't know what these twin Tansu were used for, but I found a very good space to put them  They are very nice to store girl's small clothings 

If you are looking for unusual Tansu, please try to bring the dimensions of the space to us

皆さんもご存じの通り、通常日本の古い箪笥の横幅には三尺（約90cm）、四尺（約120cm）、一間（約180cm）などの単位で決まっています。　

ところが、よくお客様に他のサイズのものを、というご要望も多々あり、日々、それを目標にあちこち探し回っております　見つかった時の嬉しさは｛やったぁ」と大きな声で叫びたくなることもしばしば・・・・（！？）

今回紹介するのは、双子箪笥。　高さもあり、かなりの変わり者だと思います。これってうまく使えたらすごく便利かも・・・と思い、仕入れました。ふふふ・・・しっくりくるスペース見～つけた。　

小さくてゴチャゴチャする子供服収納用にして、クローゼットに入れてしまいました。　いずれクローゼットから出して細かいモノの収納にしてもいいかもしれません　小回りが利くのもGOOD
