2010 Art of Dining will be held on Tuesday,  March 16th, 2010.  from 12:00 to 20:00, at Westin Tokyo. Minimum donation for one person ( =ticket) is ￥3,500.  We participated this event last year and it was very learning.  Please look at the photo of our table setting.  Refugee International Japan has organized this event since 1990.  It is the elegant one-day exhibition of table settings, made by the selected people from the media, arts, business, diplomatic, or private arenas.  Participants give their energy to design tables which reflect their nationalities, and personalities.  Please refer to:

昨年、出展させていただいた　

Art of Dining /アート　オブ　ダイニング　食卓の芸術・チャリティー展示会が今年も開催されます。

私たちにとって、とても良い経験となりました。

RIJ（国際難民支援会）主催のこのチャリティイベント、１９９０年から毎年、美しく創意に富んだテーブルセッティングをメディア、芸術、ビジネス、外交官など各分野の著名人が、時間と労力をさいて、個人のスタイル、出身国、個性を反映したテーブルを創造しています。

「美しいテーブルを作りその食卓で食べる」ことはすべて、世界のどの地域でも共有している文化的概念であるという信念から発想を得たものだそうです。

お時間がある方、是非会場に足を運んではいかがでしょう・・・・。

We have many inquiries about shipping abroad.  We did sent many of our items abroad, and we've worked hard to arrange the most satisfactory shipping for our customers.  However, sometimes, the estimate becomes about the same as the price of the item.  Okura Oriental Art has always looked for the transportation agency which is reliable, accurate, and reasonable. Recently, we found Hubnet Express. ( http://www.hubnetexp.com/jp/en/ )  It seems that this is a small agency, but we were glad to have their quick and precise response.  When you want to send something to foreign countries, you can send the inquiry either to us, or directly to them. Of course, there are English speaking staffs.

「引っ越しで海外へ荷物を送りたい」「日本国外に在住ですが、商品を送ってもらえますか？」

と度々ご質問を頂きます。送料に関して出来るだけ実費で対応させていただいていますが、場合によっては商品価格と同じ位高額になってしまったりします。

大蔵オリエンタルアートでは、出来るだけみなさんのご要望にお応えすべく安心確実、そして適正価格で送ってくれる運送会社を探し続けています。

小さな会社ですが、フットワークが良く迅速に対応してくれます。　価格も大手に比べ比較的安価で送ることが可能。

いままで送料が高いとあきらめていた家具など大きな荷物を発送ご希望の方、お気軽にご相談ください。

On the 24th and 25th of February, we will participate the Asian Home Furnishings Sales at TAC!!  This time, we will introduce ROGOBA's Kilims together with our items.  We would like you to discover the wonderful harmony of our Antique Items and Kilims.  Please come to TAC!!  ( N.B. ROGOBAさんのキリムと大蔵オリエンタルアートの骨董を調和させ皆様に実例集としてご紹介、もちろんキリムの販売します

インテリア実例集のページで度々ご紹介していますが、是非、皆さんの目で確かめてください。

大蔵オリエンタルアート

We got the Blue Note's Monthly Magazine, sent kindly by the staff there.  There is an anticle about Mr. David Sanborn's visit to our shop.  As you can see in the picture, Mr. Sanborn looked very relaxed even though he had the concert that night.  We were extremely happy to see him enjoying Antiques in our shop.  We look forward to seeing him this year again and surely we will try to collect the things he may like.  If you would like to see the Blue Note Magazine, in which our shop is introduced with Mr. David Sanborn, please let us know.  We have several copies.

DAVIDさん、ライブ本番直前だというのに、とてもリラックスした表情　

ひとつ、ひとつ、手に取りながらあれもこれも欲しくなってしまった様子でした。来日期間中、二度も来店　　本当に日本の骨董がお好きなんですね

I don't know why we put an honorific prefix, o, before Edo.   Please let me know if you know why.  Anyway, Madame, Kamakura, came to our shop with her friend Madame from Shoto.   Madame Kamakura was so energetic and charming , as she always is, she seemed to be very much enjoying her O-Edo visit.  Our shop was her last stop.  Although  the item she has long been asking me to find was not yet found, she enjoyed looking around our shop, and I enjoyed her vivid remarks.  Wherever she is, she makes our spirits up This is why I want to follow her example. . . and I have to find her thing  a.s.a.p.

Spring has come to our shop with the full bloom of Sakura!!??   It's been so cold, but we have to wait, maybe, for another month. . . So I wanted everybody to share my longing for spring.    We light up our pretty Sakura at night.  Please come and see it!!

外は寒い日が続いていますが、お店の中は春　桜も満開

夜にはライトアップして、道行く人々に楽しんでいただいております。

来週は少し寒さもやわらぐ様子・・・・・。

We learned that there are so many customers who are checking our web-catalogue.  It is our great pleasure to have many responses from those who live in our neighborhood, also from those who live on the other side of the globe. We could feel that we are truly supported by the warm encouragements from our customers.   Although it's been so cold here in Tokyo, we are HOT Looking forward to all of your visit     （And thanks dear Madam Kamakura , we are impatient to see you next week!!）

We have uploaded the new items on our web-catalogue.   There are many lovely Haidai-Sake Cup Holders, to say the truth, I don't want to sell any of them though . . . well, it's confusing, I'm very happy at the same time to see many customers enjoying the items I chose for them.   I would recommend you an unusuall shaped Haisen, it looks like a big cup for rice, so also nice for your favorite rice bowl??     Fish Blue & White Plates have a good taste, please enjoy them as a set of 5.  Finally, I think the most interesting is the Wooden Statue of Mt.Fuji and the Rising Dragon    When I looked at it,  I felt like I was in a deam of wonderland.  I would like to hear what you think
