--- Missing daughter of Otafuku was found ---- Many of you may know our CEO, Otafuku-san.  Yesterday, she found her daughter in Shinagawa ward after so many years of search  We didn't know that she had a daughter  It was so dramatic to see them hug each other with tears. . .anyway, now we will have to find a nice family she will marry into.

  The fabulous 2009 Japan Tour of David Sanborn will start soon . . . Every year, around this season, my favorite artist, Mr. David Sanborn, comes to Japan for his concerts throughout Japan.  For the last few years, I missed his live concert at Blue Note, so I really don't want to miss it this year.  The background music at our shop will be all Mr. Sanborn's CDs during this period, of course, to celebrate his concert tour

It was awfully cold this morning in Tokyo.  So the autumn leaves are now at their best.  We took this picture in a suburb of Tokyo.  We had heavy rain yesterday, and it made today's brilliant sky.  We found the fantastc gold and crimson leaves shining with a sun beam.  Maybe the most beautiful moment for us in this Autumn  . . .

急に冷え込んだせいで、紅葉も真っ盛り　東京郊外のとある田舎で秋の風景をパチリ

昨日の雨も上がり、快晴の天気の下、色づいた葉に光線が当たり見事な輝きです。

We were impatient to decorate the Christmas Tree  The lights are LED, we found it's nice that we had a variety of LED ornaments with choice of many colors.  Although we first wanted the live fir tree, ended up with  getting more convenient one.  But it's still nice easy to put and put away.  I feel like having a party with friends

イルミネーションはもちろんLED　最近は色も選ぶことができるようになってきましたね。

ホンモノの木を使いたいところですが、お手軽な方を選んでみました。しかし、なかなかどうして・・・・。最近のモノは良くできていますよ。　設置も後片付けもカンタンなのが良いです

Today's Arrival -- Yonezawa Tansu and Kannon Small Cabinet

本日、新入荷　米沢箪笥と観音小箪笥

This Yonezawa has the old type iron-work.  For Yonezawa, we often find the ones with Cherry blossoms or with the butterfly, so this type is rare.  I personally prefer this type.  Condition is very nice, made of Keyaki ( Zelkova) wood. 

米沢箪笥は珍しい古いタイプの金具が ついています。材は欅。小振りで使いやすいですよ。桜や蝶の金具が一般的な米沢箪笥ですが、私はこのタイプが個人的にはお気に入り状態も良くお薦めです。

This is Kannon Small Tansu.  This type is very popular among our customers.  Made in 1926.  Nice to put beside your lounge chair, or in your study.  The restoration went very well and the finish is more beautiful than we expected because it was originally in good condition.  The shelf boards are fixed. 

もう一棹は人気の観音小箪笥。大正十五年製　パーソナルチェアの脇やワーキングスペースのお供にいかがですか？　状態が良かったので思った以上に美しく仕上がりました～。棚板は固定式。

This is a very useful cabinet, specially custom-made, made of paulownia and ceder wood, about 90 years old, anything else, it's made by the hands of very fine craftsman.I think everybody has a 'dead-space' in the house.  Especially the size of Japanese house is limited, so many items for gooduse of the small space are introduced everywhere.  What we recommend you here has more flaver than the other storage cabinets made of plywood or  synthetic resin. Hope this cabinet is exactly what you've been looking for

The 2 most frequently asked questions are: how to change the interior, and how to organize the rooms.  I think many people get confused by adding the items to the room.  I would recommend that it's better subtracting the items from the room first.  This is what I always want to advise our customers.  Why don't you try to put all of your items into this kind of Big Kitchen Cabinet?  This Cabinet accommodates amazingly many things.  Also, the upper part and the lower part can be put side by side, and you can display your collections on the top of them.  You can see the drastic change!!
