Today, I visited Madam T. in Kamakura.  Unlike the forecast said, we had a sudden rain when I arrived in Kamakura as if to prove that I am a so called,"rainy woman." (a woman who is always hit by rain on important occasions.)  Anyway, I was happy to see  Madam T. and took a walk for lunch.  On the way to the town's main street, Komachi-Dori, we found this lovely squirrel! (photo1,2)  For lunch, we tried a very popular Japanese omlet (Tamagoyaki) restaurant, "Ozawa."  I usually don't go to the restaurant where we have to line up in order to be served, but today is special, with Madam T., nothing seems to bother me.  Surely, the Tamagoyaki was excellent!  Fluffy and delicious!!  Ozawa in Kamakura is famous, so you can find it through internet, it is on the 2nd floor of a small building containing various kind of tenant.  I was so fulfilled with the nice lunch. Then we walked back to Madam's house, and JUST as we reached her house, rain stopped. . . .I confirmed that I am spellbound to be a rainy woman.  Overall, I am grateful for a wonderful day!!

今日は鎌倉マダムのお宅へ伺い、ランチをご一緒しました。天気予報ではだったのに雨女の私が到着したとたん・・・・・

気をとりなおし鎌倉の街までお散歩。　すると、途中で可愛いリスと遭遇　

愛らしいその姿を必死に追いかけるのですが素早いこと忍者のごとく垂直の壁を自由自在に動き回ります・・・　

なんとか撮ることが出来ました。

その後、行列ができることで有名な

（私、行列嫌いなのですが・・・・・）お店に到着。

玉子焼き御膳（定食？）をいただきました。雑居ビルの２階、小さなお店は大繁盛、ふっくらとして実に美味　 雑誌なので紹介されているので御存じの方も多いかも

雨がザーザー降る中、マダム宅へ到着すると、とたん雨は上がり、青空チラリ　　恐るべし雨女POWER　　

それでも楽しい鎌倉散歩でした。　

Sado Tansu has been sold in such a short period after we introduced it in this blog.  To say the truth, I hadn't introduced it on our web-site for a long time because it was so special for me, too.  I wanted it to be bought by someone who really loves it.  So, this time, I thank you, Mr.C!

These sweet potatoes were harvested in the central Tokyo.  Look at these appetizing, various shapes!!   We heard they will be smoked by the bonfire with the fallen leaves, and will be served for the local children.   I am happy to find such a tasteful autumn scene in Tokyo.

都会のど真ん中で収穫されたサツマイモ　　大きいの、小さいの、イビツな格好、それぞれですが、なんとも美味しそうではありませんか・・・・・。

落ち葉を集めてたき火をし、子供達みんなで食べるとのこと・・・・・。

Crane, Turtle, Mr. Taro Urashima, SHO(pinetree)-CHIKU(bamboo)-BAI(plum blossom), Ebisu and Daikoku gods, Rabbit, Referee's Fan, Bamboo and Sparrows, Hawks and Mt.Fuji  . . . .all the good luck saviors assemble on this Sado Tansu from Yahata region.  If you've been looking for the very fine Sado Tansu, please come visit us!

Yesterday, we went out to the town outskirt of Tokyo. . .it was a secluded area among the mountains, full of greens.  There we found a lot of Susuki( panpas grass, or fairy grass?)  Someone said, in Japan, "nothing says 'Autumn' like Susuki."  Indeed, I wanted to display our shop with some Susuki hoping that everybody can feel serene Autumn.  How is it?

昨日は仕入れの為、東京近郊へ・・・。

緑豊かな山間部。さすがに紅葉はまだでしたが御覧のようにススキが生い茂っていました。

お店のディスプレー用に少しいただいてきました。

OKURA ORIENTAL ART

It is the time of Halloween now, and it reminds me of the movie 'E.T.' and I really like it!!

This event was not familiar to Japanese people, but we see many decoration of pumpkin or funny costume now.  Especially around here in Azabu, we see many children in special costume.  Then, I got this hanging metal lantern(of course, not antique).  It is well-made and very functional.  We can put a candle inside, and the light is very nice to scare the people in the evening!!   I just join this funny festival.... Please stop by , and say 'Trick or Treat!'  I can give some sweets to you

ハロウィンで思い出すのは、映画E.T.。　楽しそうな仮装姿。子役の子供達、可愛かったですよね。

1982年公開ですから27年も前のこと・・・。

麻布近辺にも仮装した子供達が出没しますのでこんなモノを吊り下げてみました。

お店にオバケ達が訪問してくれた時の為にお菓子も用意しました

この吊灯籠良くできています。口の中にはキャンドルも仕込めるようになっていまして・・・。勿論、骨董ではありませんよ。　念のため・・・・・。
