This Flower Basket Lamp is our original design. We choose the basket and plan the shape of the shade by making the paper pattern. It's very difficult to balance the volume of baskets and shades. Lamps play a very important role as a supporting furniture. Please try!! . . . We've had hard time to find the nice lamp shade maker. In Japan, the number of skilled craftsmen is getting fewer and fewer . . .We talked about the same thing last year, but again, we hope the revival of Japan as a maker of the quality goods.

Today, I would like to introduce this Mogami Tansu. Its front is made of Keyaki(Zelkova) with the fine grain. Side boards, top board, and the inside of drawers are made of Paulownia(Kiri.) It can be divided into two pieces; and the height of upper part and the lower part is the same 52cm, therefore, it is nice idea to put the upper and the lower parts side by side. It will become a nice TV cabinet.
今回ご紹介するこの箪笥。 正面には程良く木目が入った欅材、側板、天板、抽斗内部は桐材をふんだんに使用。
上段、下段がそれぞれ52ｃｍ。スペースにゆとりがあれば是非、横に並べて使用してみてください。 圧迫感がなく使えると思います。
はやりの薄型テレビを置く台としても良いかも・・・・・。
しかし、なんで狭いリビングに巨大なテレビを置きたがるんでしょうかね～・・・・・・。

It has been raining 
and very cold everyday in Tokyo. 
But this morning was fine, so we went to the Marche opened every Saturday morning, at the Ark Hills. 
Although I couldn't find the famous Heart-shaped and Star- shaped cucumbers(!!!???), and the price of vegetable has been risen because of the bad weather, we enjoyed the colorful Marche in the fresh air.

お目当てのハート型と星型のキュウリは今回購入できませんでしたが・・・・・（詳細は後日）

This is Cordless Hand Blender Mixxo made by BOSCH. This is what I longed for. I finally bought it at my friend's shop. The great point is "cordless." It is very frustlating to use one with a cord when preparing a hasty meal in the small kitchen. It is much more useful and powerful than I expected. We are happy to introduce you this powerful Kannon Tansu. The tacks on the iron work are called, Taiko Byou, because they are the same shape with the ones used on the Japanese drums (Taiko.) The material is all paulownia ( Kiri) wood and it's very thick. Our restorer worked very carefully on this Tansu with his all might. It would be stylish wherever you put it. Size: H/105cm (upper part 52.5cm, lower part52.5cm) W/97cm, D/44cm. Price: ￥380,000.

This necklace was given by my best friend. It is made of the fragment of Old-Imari ceramic ware. This fragment was found at the ground of the Great Earthquake of Hanshin-Awaji, in 1995. The necklace was made to commemorate the disaster and the victims. I like this beatiful necklace, and I think of the lost lives of the residents in Kobe.
親友が私へのお土産にと買ってきてくれた 古伊万里の陶片で出来たネックレス。
阪神大震災で割れてしまった古伊万里。 あの悲劇を忘れないようにするために何かの形で残せないかと企画されたものだそうです。
悲しい出来事ではありましたが、とても素敵なネックレスとして再生されています。
大事にしなければ・・・・。
My best friend is back in Japan with her husband. I wrote about them before, they know very well about Japan. I went to the Japanese pickles store in Fukagawa with them. It is located along the front approach to Fukagawa Fudo-son Temple. I found a small pack of Takenoko(bamboo shoot) in soy sauce, which is excellent!!. Now it's just the best season for bamboo shoot, to be eaten!! The area has a very nice atmosphere of downtown Tokyo. I had very happy, sunny, Sunday, with my best friend.

先週の日曜日、深川不動尊参道にある彼ら行きつけの漬物屋 近為 へ一緒にランチ
今の時期、お薦めは「タケノコの醤油漬け」 薄味でなんとも美味でございます
ランチの後、お店の方と店頭でしばし皆で歓談。
天気にも恵まれ、最高に楽しい一日でした
We have got a Tansu, its design is unusual. Front panel is Keyaki-wood. When you open the Kannon doors (double doors opening outward,) you will find the very wide drawers. Very well balanced Tansu. size: H/88,5cm, W/118cm, D/45,5cm.
