Azabudai, where we are, is in the middle of three train stations. (Ropponngi-Hibiya Line, Azabujuban- Nanboku & O-Edo Lines, Roppongi Icchoume- Nanboku Line.)  However, all of them are not close from us.  It sometimes makes us feel isolated.  But we have the good news: ,the new bus stops of Tokyo Metropolitan Bus and Minato-city's "Chii-Bus"(means small bus) were set recently, just within 10 steps from our shop. The name of the bus stop for both companies is the same, Iikurakatamachi. Minato-city opened the five new routes of Chii-Bus.  You can drop in our shop on your way to Minato City Hall, Roppongi Hills, Azabujuban, Tokyo Tower, etc,etc. The fare is only ￥100!!  Here is the info about Chii-Bus: http://www.city.minato.tokyo.jp/e/minato/mm100301/index1003.html 

お店がある麻布台は陸の孤島・・・・・。

日比谷線　六本木駅、南北線　六本木一丁目駅、大江戸線　麻布十番 駅　と3駅利用が可能ですが、お店まではやや距離があります。

しかし・・・・・。

お店のすぐそばにバス停が二つ出来ました。　一つは都バス、もう一つはつい最近出来た、港区が運行している「ちいばす」　

このバス、地域密着型路線、乗車賃　100円　　陸の孤島だった麻布台も少し便利になりました。　六本木ヒルズ方面で遊んだ後に、このバスに乗って是非ご来店を・・・。

バス停からわずか数歩で大蔵オリエンタルアートに到着します

ゆっくり、のんびり、バスに揺られるのも良いですよ・・・・・・。

We have many customers in spring.  Many people move from one place to another, it's time to redecolate the rooms!!  If you plan to buy a furniture, let me give you the key point --- choose one which you can make its efficient use of volume FIRST!!  Voluminous furniture should be decided first, and you should know its capacity of storage, of course, the storage is bigger the better.  Then you can go for the smaller furniture and small things.  Otherwise, your room will become loose.  Please visit our shop.  We would be happy to give you an advice and to help you choosing the furniture best fitted to your total image.

Mr.S is our very nice friend both officially and privately.  There is a BIG Sakura tree in his property.  Please look( I know the picture is not clear though, , , ) It is in full bud   This is a picture of tiny buds at the bottom of gigantic tree trunk.  How praiseworthy they are that  they survived fearful storm last night

お世話になっているSさん宅の大きな桜の木がもうすぐ開花しそうです。　昨夜の嵐のような突風で心配しましたがめげずに蕾をふくらませています。

巨木の根元部分にもこんな可愛い芽が出ています。（写真が下手ですけど・・・・・）

満開になったらまたその全貌をご紹介します。

Spring seems to have come.  And we have more and more customers who visit our shop than in winter time.  We think it's because now is the season for moving, time to rearrange the furniture, and refresh our minds!!  Fortunately, we are very busy with preparing the stock of goods.

"No.1 in Japan" means Mount Fuji.  Of course it is the highest mountain, but not only that, its exceptionally symmetrical cone is a symbol. People think its size and beauty as No.1.  So do I.  I was so happy to find this Fuji on our way of delivery  Fuji on a clear day is always admirable, then I really think it's No.1

Today, I felt the coming of spring ------

本日、撮影で某所を訪問。　終日、風が強かったのですが、日差しは明らかに春

撮影場所を探しながら歩いていると、足の裏に妙な感触・・・・・・・。　

春を感じたひととき・・・・・・。　

It was a cold, rainy day today, , , but we all went for our Annual Strawberry Picking!!!  We used to come to this farmhouse in February, but a farmer there told us that the strawberries are still wonderful in March this year.  We were happy that the inside of the greenhouse was so warm, and the strawberries were very tasty.  Strawberries here are uneven, but we appeciated the farmers for their sincere care to raise the wonderful berries.

今日は朝から冷たい雨が降っていましたが、毎年恒例のイチゴ狩りにGO

例年は2月に行くのですがなんだか忙しくて今日までずれ込みました・・・・。

農家の方曰く、「今年は3月になっても美味しいですよ」　とのこと。早速、期待をしながら温室の中へ・・・・・。

寒い外とは違い、ハウスの中はちょうど良い温度

（いつもは暑くて服の調節が難しい）

大切に育てられたでイチゴ　

　形は様々ですが、味は格別

時にはハズレもありますが・・・・・・。

それもまた楽しいものです。

If you are acquainted with "Obi," you definitely understand how precious "Sakiori Obi" is.

"Sakiori Obi" is made from old Kimono, used during Edo period. The unique procedure of creating this Obi is that people tore Kimono into narrow thread; therefore, sometimes one "Sakiori Obi" happened to have a part of silk as well as a part of cotton. It tells us how much ancient Japanese people cared to conserve items for their life.

Since Showa era, artists who specialized in "Sakiori Obi " have emerged, and excellent color combination has been created by them. The number of this Obi became less and less since we cannot make it with new fabrics or materials. Why don’t you feel the special texture of “Sakiori Obi”?

「裂織（さきおり）」ご存知でしょうか？まさに字のごとく裂いて織った生地のことを言います。昔の人は、古い着られなくなった着物を裂いて糸にしそれを織って新しく帯や敷物に仕立てて使用していました。それゆえに一本の帯の中に絹、木綿、麻が見られることもあります。

昭和の初期には裂織アーティストの様な存在の人々が現れ、素晴らしいセンスの織物が数多く作られたようです。

古い箪笥の上にはもちろん、モダンな家具と合わせても温かみが感じる空間が出来ると思います。私は藍色や茶系の糸が入っているものが好き。

物を大切にする気持ち、大事にしたいですね

今回、数点、古民具としてHPに掲載しました。素材は江戸後期から明治大正なのであえて時代は記載していません。

休む暇なく各地へ仕入れに出かけております・・・・・。

気に入ったモノを探し求めてキョロキョロとしていますが、なかなか思うようには見つからず・・・・・。

しかし、手ぶらで帰るようなことはいたしません　　自信をもってお届けできる楽しい逸品を近日公開予定　　　インテリアコーディネートが楽しくなりますよ～
