Many Santas Clauses Riders are here in Tokyo today!! They waved the people who passed by the road with smile! Wao! what a nice event!
After a while, they had a brake in front of the shop. I asked, 'Can I take a photo of you??' Very friendly & handsome Santa Clause and his pretty girlfriend offered me to try to sit on their wonderful machine!! Of course, I did it!
I was so busy to wave them all day today:) I enjoyed this event before Christmas!!

赤い制服 に身を包み、楽しそうに沿道の人々に手を振りながら爆走中
と思ったらお店の前で休憩・・・・・
面白いので「写真を撮らせてくださ～い」 と話しかけると「乗ってみます？」 とのお誘い
せっかくなのでお言葉に甘えちゃいました～
お店そっちのけで走り回ってくるサンタさん達に手を振るのが忙しい一日でした（笑）

Today, we had many customers who were searching Christmas gifts. We use Furoshiki for the gifts, since it's very convenient and easy to wrap the gifts, and anything else, it is very stylish and traditional. There are many ways of wrapping with Furoshiki. I met many of nice Choba Tansu... But it is DIFFERENT from the others. I named it 'Super Choba'...because of the very STRONG framework. I have never seen Tansu like this.
This 'Super Choba' has well-timbered frame work all over the surface, face, sides, and back!! I think it is the strongest Tansu in Japan!! He is also very practical for merchants, because there are many drawers to organize stationery, books, documents, and MONEY (many secret boxes..., but it's secret for our customers...!!?)
Ahhhh, I fall in love with him and don't want to sell him......(!?)

Sometimes, I feel I want to send a gift to myself, when I think (here is the key!!) I worked very hard. I recommend you to send an Old Imari, or just a small other antique item for yourself. Unlike a brand new merchandise, I believe, to use antiques gives you more relaxing time at home and it will be a healing effect in your life. Of course, an antique will be a great gift for someone who is very close to you, too!

We have got a very good Yonezawa Tansu in excellent condition. We got it from a person who is a well-known collector of this type of Tansu. The frontis made of Keyaki wood, and the side is finished with the black lacquer which makes this Tansu stylish. The design of the iron work is butterfly. Our restorer said that he didn't have to do much so he enjoyed polishing the surface. We recommend this Tansu for your eternal use.

状態がすこぶる良い米澤箪笥が入荷しました。
あるコレクターの方よりお譲りいただいた逸品です。
箪笥の顔である正面には欅材を使用、縁部分は黒漆仕上げで全体を引きしめています。
金具は蝶覆輪でとてもエレガント
当店がレストアをお願いしてる箪笥職人によれば、
「保存状態が良かったのでほとんどレストア不要、表面磨きをシッカリやっときました」 とのこと。
これからも末長くお使いいただけるこの箪笥。

We'd been anxious and wondering if he would come because, unlike the past several years, we haven't received a phone call from the staff of his concert tour. Being dejected, we thought, " he is not coming this year, , , " 
However, finally we got the phone from Mr. David Sanborn himself, saying that he would come the next day!! 
So, we could see Mr.Sanborn again this year!! As I wrote again and again in this blog page every year, he is an extremely warmhearted, sweet, charming gentleman. He showed us the pictures of his beautiful granddaughter, she is still a little baby but takes after him so much! While choosing one from our collection of the Framed Hyakunin-Isshu Playing Cards, he told us about his house in Manhattan. We enjoyed imagining the outside/inside of his house. Then we boldly asked for his signature on the picture taken at our shop last year. We were again overwhelmed by his friendly manner. We look very much forward to his concert next year 
例年通りならそろそろ連絡があってもいいんだけど・・・・
いつもなら係の方が事前に来店日時をご連絡してくださるのですが、今年はなかなか連絡がこない。
「来ないんだ～・・・
」 と思っていたら何と ご本人から前日連絡が
「明日、行きたいんだけどお店開いてる？」とDavidさん
もちろん 開いてますとも 毎年恒例になってきてDavidさんが来ないと一年の締めくくりが出来ないくらいになってきました。（笑）
可愛いお孫さんの写真をみせてくださったり、ニューヨークの自宅のインテリアの話など、
いつものように気さくに私たちに接してくださりしばし談笑
昨年いらした際、当店で撮影したBLUENOTEの小冊子にサインまでいただいちゃいました
来年はお店を休んででもコンサート行きます
2011 is the year of the Rabbit, in a Chinese astrology. You may find many rabbit dolls sold in town to pray for the happiness in the next coming year. Please look at these rabbits, they are Kutani Porcelain, not very old, but so cute!!!
