This time, most of the items we selected from the auction are small size. We just finished taking pictures of them, you can view them on our web-site tomorrow! It's our pleasure to show you Maneki-neko, Sake-cup holder, Imari food containers(Danju,) Negoro-lacquered food case, Suiteki ( water dropper,) and etc. Don't miss it!!
今回は小さいアイテムを中心に揃えてみました。 本日撮影終了しましたので明日にはウェブ上に掲載予定！ 少しだけ紹介すると、招き猫（またか！と思うなかれ） 盃台、段重、根来塗の菓子皿、水滴、猪口、等々 乞うご期待！！
This signboard of Okura Oriental Art has been presented on our roof since 1975, the year our shop was established.
Compared with the sign of the new furniture store next to us, ours is , , , shabby, , , it has been beaten by wind, rain, and sunburn for years.
The eaves below the signboard had been bumped by the large truck, and completely demolished, not once, but twice. So we try to think it positive, as we always do --- Our signboard has some power of GOOD-LUCK!
１９７５年の創業以来、掲げられている「大蔵オリエンタルアート」の看板。
シゲシゲと眺めてみると、さすがに傷んでいますね。
長年の風雪、紫外線、等々にさらされているのですから仕方ないですが・・・・・。
新しく引っ越してきたお隣の家具屋さんに比べると・・・・・ いささかボロい
土台になっている軒の部分は大型トラックに２度もぶつけられ大破 
けど看板だけは傾くこともなくしっかりしています。
もしかして縁起がいいのかな？
When we found this half step chest, it was covered heavily by dusts, dirty. But we were sure that it would become a beautiful Tansu. As you can see, it becomes more beautiful than we expected. We were so excited that we also polished the back. It has only three steps, small, but the grain of Keyaki is brilliant. We like to find someone, who will love this small Step Tansu, as an owner. 立派な階段箪笥だったのでしょう・・・・。コレ！ 見つけた時は上段部分だけポツンと置き去りになっていました。ススけて、うす汚れでしたが、私は確信していました。 絶対キレイになる
早速持ち帰り、いつものようにお手入れ開始。想像以上でした。みるみるキレイになり欅の木目も程よくいい感じ！！
調子にのって背面までキレイにしちゃいました

The 19th ' Art of Dining,' the fundraising exhibition organized by Refugee International Japan was held at Westin Hotel Tokyo. The event was opened by HIH Princess Hitachi, so solemnly and beautifully.
It was quite a big surprise and pleasure for me to find an amazing number of people who were concerned about the activities of RIJ. The guests were very enthusiastic, and I was very glad to be asked about my table setting. My theme was "With You, 50 Years Later," I thank everybody who kindly gave me words of praisal.
I got many questions about the mysterious light of the Round Lantern ( 3rd photo.) I put small LED in this bronze lantern, so its inside would flicker like a candle.
The last photo is the Three Legged Pottery, made by my master, Mr. Hikaru Momota, who is renowned for his unique style of pottery making.
I thank Mrs. Ann Good, Mrs. Michiko Hisaeda, and all the staffs of RIJ, for inviting me to this wonderful exhibition and for their sincere help given to me.
19回「Art of Dining /食卓の芸術・チャリティー展示会」昨日、無事終了いたしました。
常陸宮妃殿下がご来賓され、妃殿下ののテープカットで粛々と始まったこのチャリティイベント。
非常に多くの来場者で、会場内は大混雑！ 
関心の高さに大変驚きました。皆さん非常に熱心に各ブースを回っていました。
私のブースにも多くの方にお越しいただきました。ありがとうございました。
「50年後のあなたと・・・・」と題した今回のテーブルコーディネートでしたが皆様から御褒めの言葉をいただき感謝いたしております。
脇に添えた青銅の灯籠
にLEDを仕込み、キャンドルの様にゆらめかせたのですが、その具合が絶妙だったようで多くの方から「これはどうやって点灯しているんですか？」等のご質問。皆さんこちらにも興味津々！
そして、こちら私の陶芸の先生 百田輝氏の三足器。
独特の作風でみなさんの目を引いていました。今回のイベントの為、百田先生にご協力いただきました。 今回このイベントにお誘いいただきありがとうございました。普段、お店では表現しきれないことが出来、私自身も非常に楽しんで行うことができました。
このような素晴らしいイベントに参加できたことを感謝いたします。

There is a special featured articles on Bonbonnieres in the current issue. It covers many magnificent Bonbonnieres and their informations. It is very difficult to get nice bonbonnieres, so I, too enjoy these articles. You can purchase Daruma Magazine at our shop, of course!

I wanted to look like a Parisienne! So I bought this car. The interior is very gorgeous despite the small size of this car. The seats are fully covered with the light grey leather, and are very comfortable. It runs around very quickly and is as brisk as bees. 近所のお買い物、ロングドライブ、たまに仕入れにも一緒に連れて行きました。
とにかくキビキビと良く走ります！！
しかし、最近とても忙しく乗る暇もなく、ちょっと可愛そう・・・・。 つい最近、友人から他のクルマを譲り受けたこともあり思い切って手放そうと思います。

No matter how we complain about the politicians and social systems, it's still difficult to find the good solution. We need to lift up our mind! Our Shop will be closed on March 18th, for we will participate the charity exhibition, "Art of Dining," presented by Refugee International Japan.
