Sword Tansu is peculiar in shape: low and thin.  We placed it in a narrow space at the foot of the window.  Since it is very low, we can take much sunlight into the room, and we don't feel a sense of oppression.  We thought we could successfully show a nice Japanese taste by the combination of a Sword Tansu and the bamboo thicket outside.

既成概念を取り払えば色々な見せ方が出来ますね。

We have updated our " Interior Decorating" page. http://www.okura-art.com/showroom.html This time, we arranged an entrance hall trying to show how much it looks different depending on lighting and decoration.  We can enjoy the tone of our daily life by adding some changes of interior decoration according to your mood, or to the season.  Also, we put a sumi-e art of Ms. Rie Okabayashi on the wall. 毎回好評をいただいているショール ーム画像（インテリアコーディネート実例集）を更新しました。

今回はエントランス部分をアレンジしてみました。　

ゆとりのある空間を楽しく演出

昼と夜、そして設置するモノを変えることで　同じ場所でも印象がまったく違うことがおわかりいただけると思います。

気分や季節に合わせ色々と変化させることで日々の暮らしに色どりを持つことができますね。

今回は墨アート作家　岡林里依氏の作品を壁面に使用させていただきました。

6枚のパネルから構成される「墨の連鎖」　の飾り方は自由自在。　縦にも横にも、間隔や枚数をアレンジすることで非常に楽しい空間作りが可能　

この他、.「形　線　そして　息と　光と」　「宙」　「DANCE」　など　どれもみな素晴らしい作品。

素朴でありながらモダンな雰囲気を併せ持つ岡林氏の作品は私の感性を大いに刺激しました。

骨董との相性もバツグン

We spent much time to shoot images for our wedsite.  We are now going to update it, but I just want to show you a little...

It was a huge entrance hall with steps and teracotta floor, I was so excited to decorate it.

We are so lucky to have an opportunity to decorate the beautiful art work from Ms.Rie Okabayashi on the wall.  I hope you will enjoy her works with fine antiques.

I'm sure the guests will feel welcome to see the decoration, of course!!

夏休み期間を利用して撮影したインテリアコーディネート実例集がまとまってきました

近日、詳しくHPでも紹介いたしますが、その前にちょっとだけお見せします。

ゆとりのある広さとステップフロアが特徴的なエントランス部分を利用した今回の実例集・・・・

ステップ最上段を舞台に見立て、華やかな雰囲気にまとめてみました。

訪問するゲストに驚きと感動を与えることでしょう。　

アイテムや配置を気分や季節に合わせて変化させるとより一層、自分自身も楽しめる素敵な空間を作ることができます。

We decided to put ROGOBA kilim on the floor of the entrance again because it matches the terra-cotta tile there.

We went to the showroom in Hirakawa-cho today and chose some beautiful kilims.  The staffs are very conscientious, and sellected some nice ones for us. 

We set up everything there today and checked if any other items should be added in that space.

As usual we are so excited to set up all of the charming items. 

They will be introduced on our interior decorating pages soon.

Our shop is only by appointment from Jul 25th until Aug 16th (Mon), but we have not been taking our vacation yet.  It is the best time to shoot many images for our interior decorating page.

We are so lucky that we could rent the wonderful entrance space of the huge house for several days.  It is a splitlevel space and the floor is light-colored terra-cotta. 

Now we are trying to get some important items to make the space attractive.

We will introduce it soon and don't miss it.

This is the living room with the large wall.  Since the pillars and beams are stuck out from the wall, we could imagine how difficult to make the comfortable room.  We decorated 2 big frames on the wall and put the 3 pieces of chests side by side. We were lucky to borrow some frames from Mr.X (he is very famous on our interior decorating page, and his sense of balance to decorate picture frames is miracle!!)  Actually, this space is long and narrow and we wanted to avoid setting the tall cabinet.  The apparently low and wide chest would be effective to keep the narrow shape more comfortable.  It is important to make the point of view lower in the small room.

大きめの壁があり、奥行はあるけれど、幅がやや狭いリビング。　そして梁と柱が・・・。　

古いタイプの建物にはつきものの悩みですよね。ちょっと難しいかな、と思いましたが、三つ重ねの箪笥を横に並べ、ローチェストにして使用、圧迫感をあまり感じさせないものをその上にディスプレイ。　ラッキーなことにMｒ.Xからピッタリの額も借りることが出来ました。視線を低くもっていくことによって、幅の狭さも気にならなくなりました。

逆境を逆手に色々とアイデアを出すのが本当に面白い。　

機会があるごとに掲載したいと思います。

Today, I introduce the travelling vendor's chest called, 'Gyosho Tansu'.  I put it next to the couch as a side table.

Its slim shape doesn't take up a large space, and the small drawers are so convenient to organize small personal things.  Also, the mirror, put on the top, well reflects the light from the lamp.  The light fills the whole room....  Will you try it??

Yesterday, I found the Mulberry Tabacco Bon, with the cute "Shippo" patterns.  The  bronze Hiire included in the Bon has a very delicate taste.  I will put flowers in it , , , and how shall I do with Tabacco Bon?   Yes, we are living the mechanized life, and have many remote control devices.  And the Tabacco Bon can accommodate most of them!!!   But I wonder if the masters of Tea Ceremony will admit me to use it in this way. . . .

火入れの次は煙草盆。先日、きちんとした作りで七宝紋が可愛らしい桑の煙草盆を仕入れました　中の銅製の火入れも繊細な感じ　火入れは花器にするとして・・・、さて煙草盆はどうしましょう？？

最近の家電は何でもリモコンが付いてきます。　あちこちにリモコンが散らばっていると面倒ですよね。　煙草盆はこれをひとまとめにするにはちょうど良いサイズ

お茶の先生が見たらビックリするかしら？？
