The shop is now closed from Dec 25th, but we have selected many items for the picture of Interior decorating page on our website. It was finished this evening, but we just want to show you ART of the floor  We selected several Persian carpets from the beautiful collections of KOWA.  They have huge collections of Persian carpets and we were so lucky to use several items from them.  Actually, I didn't know about Persian carpet, but I was so surprised to know the long history and tradition.  We learnt many things from Kowa and challenged them for this time.  Of course, Persian Carpets were very nice to go with Japanse Antiques  We hope you will enjoy the patterns and colors in the pictures.

ショップは12月25日から冬期休業としてありますが、お休みに入ってからせっせ、せっせとショールーム画像の撮影準備をしておりました。　和骨董とうまく調和する商品選びに東西奔走！！　撮影は今日の夜終了しましたが、その前に・・・。

いつも悩むのが床・・・もちろん骨董としての鍋島段通のようなものもありますが、一捻りしたい・・・　キリムももちろん素晴らしく調和してくれました。　そして、今度は絨毯の王様ペルシャ絨毯を使用させていただきました。　協力して下さったのが、虎ノ門にある、　「光和」　さん。　説明を色々と聞かせていただき、見たり触ったりと、素晴らしさを堪能～　時代を経て、素晴らしい美術品として受け継がれ、ますます魅力的になっていくというお話は本当に楽しかったです。

さて、私達が今回選んだのがこちら。　あまりに綺麗でついつい接写。楽しくなってしまって何枚も撮ってしまいました～。

あまりに綺麗過ぎて、撮影の間、どうしても踏んで歩くのは申し訳なくなってしまい、ピョンピョン飛んで歩いてしまう私　まだまだ高級ペルシャへの道は長い？？

We have got many new arrivals again!!  I worked so hard to list the most of all yesterday.  Hopefully, many of our customers will enjoy them.  Some items are sold so quickly, but if there were something(even if they were sold) you are interested in, please let us kow.  We always make 'WISH LIST' for our customers and try to find simillar items. It's impossible to find the SAME things, but we are happy to try it.  Please feel free to ask us!!

OKURA ORIENTAL ART

We had a dinner party with our staff last evening  I just would like to show them how to use Japanese antique for the table decoration and used many items at the shop.

I used a black lacquered 'Jubako' to serve appetizer and the red lacquered trays as place plate.  I was so happy to use them and enjoyed chatting about them

I love thinking about table decoration because I can use so many Japanese antiques from our shop.   But I was so busy to carry them to our apartment.  I may look strange because I walked back and forth with many plates and trays between the shop and our apartment!!

Finaly, I cooked much food and served in this way....Will you join us next time

昨晩、クリスマスパーティ（忘年会）第一弾を自宅でスタッフの女性二人をお招きして楽しみました。　よしパーティをするぞ！と思った瞬間からお店の何を使おうかと、計画計画・・・　使おう！と思っていたものが売れてなくなってしまい、嬉しい半面がっかりしたりもしておりました。やはり、スタッフに見てもらうには、そのテーブルを思い出して、お客様にアドバイス出来るようになって欲しいな・・・と思うし、ちょっと頑張っちゃおう　

しかし・・・、お店から自宅へは歩ける距離ですが、お店から何往復もしてお皿やお盆などを運ぶ姿はいったいどんなふうに見えたでしょう？（笑）　転んで割ったら嫌だから、真剣顔で歩く歩く・・・

で、こんな感じに仕上がりました。やっぱり重箱は便利！！オードブルを早めに作っても乾燥しないし。　大した料理はしていませんが、なんだかその中にちょっとした世界が・・・（大袈裟？）朱漆の丸盆はプレイスマットの代わり。その上にナイフとフォークも置いちゃいます。メインはサーモンのグリル。染付の大皿にド～ン

だんだん酔いも回ってだんだんテーブルなんかどうでもよくなっちゃいますがそれも含めてパーティは楽しい！！　またやろうっと！

If you would like to put one Japanese antique furniture, we recommend 'Yonezawa Tansu' with no question.  This has all of fine Japanese craftmanship, lacquered surface, Iron metal work, and joining points.  The balance is always very beautiful and the size is good anywhere.

We are always trying to find Tansu in good condition, and please feel free to inquire about our stock.  We have many stocks which are not listed on our website and we will advise you the suitable ones in your space.  Many customers bring some images and dimensions of their space. We changed the table decoration at the front window today  Since many items were sold last week, I got so many items at the auction yesterday. 

The lucky customers bought some items before we priced them  We will try to list all of them one by one, but please excuse me for not listing all of them at once.
