Lucie Rie A Retrospective/ ルーシー・リー展
Today, I fulfilled my longing to see 'Lucie Rie A Retrospective in the National Art Center'.
I was so excited to see all of her works. Her outstanding sense of balance & colors are miracle. Especially, I was so happy to watch VTR
presented by BBC on the screen there. I could see how to make her beautiful works and her delighted look on her face when she met her works from the kiln 
I love her works because they have strong taste, but I think they are all nice in any space because they have very neat & quiet atomosphere
I know it is impossible for me to buy her work, but I dream to touch it and try to display....
今日は念願の新国立美術館で開催されている ルーシー・リー展へ行ってきました。 やはり素晴らしいですね。 今回はBCCで放送されたインタビューをスクリーンで上映していたので、しばし見入っていました。 轆轤をまわして土を操る姿や、窯出しの光景を紹介していましたが、80歳とはとても思えませんでした
彼女の作品は強い個性があるにもかかわらず、他のものの美しさを邪魔しない静かさがあるところが、私は好きです。 彼女の気品なのでしょう。 それでいて、ウワァッ、と言わせてしまう程の可愛らしいものも作ってしまう。 窯出しをして、出来上がった作品と向き合っている彼女は新しいおもちゃに出会ったような可愛らしい女の子の表情でした
かつて、彼女の作品を少し真似てみようとトライしましたが・・・出来上がったのは見るも無残な・・・ああ、もう忘れたい・・・
でも、轆轤を回す姿を見てクスリ・・・。私とおんなじ、首も一緒に動いてる・・・
これからはもっと美術館に足を運ぼうと思います。 今はオルセー美術館展、その次はマン・レイ・・・。 きっと何か良い刺激になるはず
