Preparations for Boy's festival
The window display at our shop is now decorated by Samurai armor set for Boy's festival on May 5th. We have just put Hina dolls for Girl's festival away in March.
There are so many special occasions we display something in Japan. The parents of both boys & girls are so busy in this season.
This set is very gorgeous and used to be displayed at a wealthy house. If we buy the new set of this quality in Asausabashi, the price must be extremely expensive... over 1 million yen??
I think the ex-owner wanted to keep it forever for their boys, but he decided to sell it. I hope the new owner would love it and keep it as long as he can...
今、お店のショーウィンドウには5月のお節句用に、鎧兜のセットが飾られています。
つい、この間、お雛様を仕舞ったばかりで・・・この季節、女の子と男の子のいるご家庭はお忙しいのでしょうね・・・。
デパートでお節句商品を見たことがあるのですが、値段を見てびっくり！危うくひとケタ間違えるところでした。しかも至るところに、大量生産と一目で分かるプラスティック部品が使われていていて、古いものしか見てない私はなんだか悲しくなりました
でもよく考えてみると・・・、仕方無いのですよね。伝統の技で作るとすごい値段になってしまうでしょう。庶民には手が出ません。
今飾っているのはおそらく30年前位に作られたもの。かなり贅沢なものです。骨董とは言えませんが、きちんと作られたものを道行く人々に楽しんでいただければ幸いです
デパートで売っている物にとっても違和感を持っている一人です。
いかにもプラスチック！大量生産みたいなものが数百万円！！ ウソでしょ！！とお店の中で思わず声を出してしまいました。
でもしかたいないのでしょうかね～。昔の人の技術は本当に素晴らしいのですね。あらためて関心させられます。
