The 19th ' Art of Dining,' the fundraising exhibition organized by Refugee International Japan was held at Westin Hotel Tokyo.  The event was opened by HIH Princess Hitachi, so solemnly and beautifully.

It was quite a big surprise and pleasure for me to find an amazing number of people who were concerned about the activities of RIJ.  The guests were very enthusiastic, and I was very glad to be asked about my table setting. My theme was "With You, 50 Years Later," I thank everybody who kindly gave me words of praisal.

I got many questions about the mysterious light of the Round Lantern ( 3rd photo.)  I put small LED in this bronze lantern, so its inside would flicker like a candle.

The last photo is the Three Legged Pottery, made by my master, Mr. Hikaru Momota, who is renowned for his unique style of pottery making.

I thank Mrs. Ann Good, Mrs. Michiko Hisaeda, and all the staffs of RIJ, for inviting me to this wonderful exhibition and for their sincere help given to me.

19回「Art of Dining /食卓の芸術・チャリティー展示会」昨日、無事終了いたしました。

常陸宮妃殿下がご来賓され、妃殿下ののテープカットで粛々と始まったこのチャリティイベント。

非常に多くの来場者で、会場内は大混雑！　 関心の高さに大変驚きました。皆さん非常に熱心に各ブースを回っていました。

私のブースにも多くの方にお越しいただきました。ありがとうございました。

「50年後のあなたと・・・・」と題した今回のテーブルコーディネートでしたが皆様から御褒めの言葉をいただき感謝いたしております。

脇に添えた青銅の灯籠 にLEDを仕込み、キャンドルの様にゆらめかせたのですが、その具合が絶妙だったようで多くの方から「これはどうやって点灯しているんですか？」等のご質問。皆さんこちらにも興味津々！

そして、こちら私の陶芸の先生　百田輝氏の三足器。　

独特の作風でみなさんの目を引いていました。今回のイベントの為、百田先生にご協力いただきました。 今回このイベントにお誘いいただきありがとうございました。普段、お店では表現しきれないことが出来、私自身も非常に楽しんで行うことができました。

このような素晴らしいイベントに参加できたことを感謝いたします。
